How do we do it?
As you know the benefits of Snail Mucin is rediscovered by Chilean snail growers at the end of the 20 th century.
Indeed in the 1980s, snail slime was rediscovered in Chile.
Some small Chilean companies popularized this wonderful ingredient that was adopted by the cosmetic industry around the world.
Process : The slime is collected from live snails without hurting them, by gently stimulating them to release it.
The slime is then cleaned, filtered and combined with other ingredients to make the serum.
It is very important in this process to protect the snail life and wellbeing.
By the way chilean rules states: «Article 5.- Circuses, zoos and other places for the show or exhibition of animals; veterinary diagnostic laboratories; establishments for the industrial production of animals and their products, and commercial stores established for the sale of animals, must have adequate facilities for the specific species and categories of animals to prevent mistreatment and deterioration of their health. Likewise, it must adopt all the necessary measures to protect the safety of people.» (our own translation of article 5 of Law n° 20380, 03-10-2009).

Why do cosmetic brands appreciate our products?
We offer a snail slime with standardized quality in its color, aroma and quality (there may be small variations because it is a natural product) with almost zero bacterial load. All of this allows the cosmetic industry to use our products safely.
Quantities: the minimum quantity is 1 kilogram. From 100 liters onwards, barrels and drums are used that are palletized.
Shelf life : eighteen months fom the production date.
Finally we would like to reiterate that you have to be careful with powdered snail slime as it can be a scam.
Snail slime has only 1% dry matter, which means that you need a lot of it to get a little bit of powder.
Therefore, if it is sold at a very low price, it is likely that it is not authentic or contains other low-quality ingredients.
It is best to opt for products that contain liquid or filtered snail slime, which better preserve their properties and benefits.
