These mollusks appeared on Earth over 600 million years ago. Nevertheless, snails are surprising animals due to some characteristics. We sellected 5 astonishing features of these small animals:

1) Snails are mutes and deafs. But they have high tactile sensitivity ;

2) Snails are hermaphrodite, but not completely.  The snail has both sexes (male and female) but it needs a partner to procreate.

3) Snails don’t have Red blood cells. Their blood is blue.

4)  Snails can move due to the snail mucus (snail slime) and the «foot» (the lower part of the snail). We have read information that snails can pass over sharp  objects (like a razor blade!) without to be injured.

5) Neverthess, snails cannot progress  on surfaces like dust , because indeed snails need to crawl.
